What is ICF?

The International Coaching Federation is the largest global organization of professional coaches with over 50,000 members in 150 countries. It is the leader in establishing both ethical standards and coaching competencies worldwide and awards the only globally recognized credential (held by more than 40,000) in three levels, namely:

  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC)
  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
  • Master Certified Coach (MCC)

Why Obtain an ICF-Credential?

  • An ICF Credential demonstrates that your coaching practice is based on Global Standards and will therefore give you the distinction and the EDGE over other professional coaches.
  • An ICF Credential is similar to a degree or professional designation with global recognition.

To become an ICF-credentialed coach, the first step for you is to get formal training in professional coaching. At Benchmark Consulting, we offer you the country’s first-ever ICF-certified coaching course.

Accelerated Coach Training Program

The Accelerated Coach Training Program is a 60-hour ICF Accredited Level 1 Coaching Education Program. The Curriculum

The objective of the Accelerated Coach Training Program is to produce highly effective, qualified, competent and credible professional coaches who adhere to the gold standard set by the ICF. To achieve this objective, we provide our participants with a solid foundation of what coaching really is, both in theory and in praxis or skills practice by implementing the 70-20-10 Development Framework. This framework states that 70% of learning comes from actual experience while 20% of learning comes from learning with and from others, and 10% from formal education, classroom training, and readings.

Phase 1

This is a live online workshop on Coaching Fundamentals conducted in eight 3-hour sessions. Here, students will learn and experience coaching concepts, theories, and frameworks revolving around the ICF Definition, ICF Core Competencies, and ICF Code of Ethics.

The workshops are highly engaging, experiential, introspective, non-threatening, and enjoyable. Our creative approach combines theory and practice through interactive discussions, coaching demos, stimulating yet reflective exercises as well as “real play” skills-building simulations (dyads, triads, and tag-team).

Phase 2 – Practicum (October 2023 – January 2024)

This phase aims to embed all the learnings from Phase I. Each student/participant will be required to coach an actual client twice a month for a period of 3 months with the guidance of a personal mentor-coach. They will record four of their coaching conversations. The assigned mentor-coach will then review and listen to these recordings for evaluation and feedback. This way, students will be assessed and guided as they progress on their coaching proficiency. Each student will receive four one-on-one mentoring sessions and undergo three 2-hour group mentoring sessions.

During this phase, the participants will also be tasked to do coaching research that aims to provide them with insights and relevant information needed for them to embark on their professional coaching practice.
