Mentoring Training Program For Leaders

Your employees will always be a major key component in the successful performance of your business. People development, therefore, plays a truly significant role in both taking care of the human capital and overall, the business.

With the fast-paced and ever-changing business environment, the workforce must be able to adapt, evolve and grow. Leaders, therefore, are expected to be able to continuously develop their people, regardless of the situation. They can achieve these vital skills through a mentoring training program.

Mentoring is one of the inherent roles of people leaders, and it is a must that leaders be able to mentor their people in the most effective manner. Signing leaders up for mentoring skills training means making a business decision that has an exclusively positive impact. Through a mentoring skills program, your leaders learn the best practices and guidelines for establishing a positive mentor-protege relationship. They understand the importance of leveraging talent, engaging people, and growing members of the workforce.

When leaders mentor effectively, they are able to:

  • Sharpen the skills of their people
  • Drive for performance improvement
  • Fast-track the development of their people
  • Develop future leaders

It is therefore imperative that people leaders must be equipped with the proper mentoring tools, processes, and mindset required to carry out one’s people development role.

Methodology

Learning the skills in the mentoring training program requires a holistic approach for the learning to be imbibed by the leaders and/or internal mentors. Thus, our mentoring training methods use the Knowing-Doing-Being Framework to ensure all participants are engaged in body, mind, and spirit.

  • Knowing – Participants in the mentoring skills training gain a stronger theoretical foundation about mentoring through Benchmark Consulting’s “signature” interactive lectures and dynamic discussions.
  • Doing – Facilitators provide participants opportunities to build their mentoring skills through various demonstrations and actual simulations, paired with real-time constructive critique.
  • Being – The sessions in the mentoring skills program will explore the required paradigm leaders and/or internal mentors must have once they become full-fledged mentors. This will allow the participants to reassess themselves and decide to make the paradigm shift after realizing the importance of their roles as mentors.
